Features
  • Quick lace with cord lock. Instep volume adjusts through a quick lace and cord lock, which accommodates varying foot shapes and makes on and off easy.
  • Adjustable heel strap. A hook-and-loop heel strap sets the heel fit, so the sandal stays put on the move.
  • Contoured EVA footbed and midsole. A contoured EVA footbed adds underfoot stability and carries a topo texture that helps stop the foot slipping, over a single-density moulded-EVA midsole for all-day comfort.
  • Toe cap. A toe cap helps protect toes from rocks and tree roots along the trail.
  • SURFACE CTRL™ rubber outsole. A durable SURFACE CTRL™ rubber outsole optimised for weight and versatility, with 3.5 mm lugs for traction on rugged trails. The responsibly sourced rubber content is set out in Materials & Care.
Size & Fit
  • Youth whole sizes 10 through 7; no half sizes.
  • Instep volume adjusts through the quick lace and cord lock.

Best for

Is this right for you?

Trail days

Day hikes and rough ground, where a toe cap and 3.5 mm lugs matter more than a closed upper.

Not for: Cold conditions or sustained technical mileage — that is a boot's job, not a shandal's. Shop The North Face footwear

Creek crossings

Wading, wet rock and the walk out afterwards — the synthetic upper and EVA footbed drain and dry.

Not for: Deep or cold water where you want a closed, insulated shoe. Shop sandals

Camp and after the trail

Easy on and off at camp, around the site and on the drive home.

Not for: Anywhere that asks for a closed toe. Shop The North Face

Questions, answered

Before you buy.

Pulled from chats, emails and store visits. The things people actually ask us before they buy. Don't see yours?

Ask a question
Do these run true to size?

Yes. The North Face lists this style in whole youth sizes only, 10 through 7, so there are no half sizes to fall back on. If your child is between sizes, take the larger and snug the quick lace.

Can I get them wet?

Yes. The synthetic upper, EVA footbed and rubber outsole are built for creek crossings and wet trail. Rinse with fresh water afterwards and let them air dry.

How do I clean them?

Rinse with fresh water, wipe the footbed with mild soap and a soft cloth, and scrub the outsole with a soft brush. Air dry at room temperature — never in a dryer or near direct heat.

Will the footbed mould to my foot?

No. The contoured EVA footbed keeps its shape rather than moulding the way cork does. The topo texture is what stops the foot sliding once it is wet.

Are they good for wide feet?

The North Face builds this style in one width, but instep volume adjusts through the quick lace and cord lock, which gives a wider foot some room to work with.
