Cut like jeans, with flex for mobility. Our Granite Mountain 5-Pocket Pants are made with straight legs and built-in flex for comfort. At 7-oz., this fabric is ideal for warm-weather use. The rear hems and pocket bottoms are reinforced with a double layer of fabric for added durability. Heavy-duty front pocket bags for lasting service. Coin/key pocket on right side. An extra beltloop in the back center prevents waistband sagging.

To measure: Neck — around the base of the neck where a collar sits. Chest — around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms. Waist — where the waistband of your pants normally sits. Arm length — from the center at the base of the neck, over the shoulder and elbow, to just past the wrist bone.

Filson's Tin Cloth and waxed-canvas jackets are cut trim to wear over a shirt. If you are between sizes or plan to layer, order up one size.

Filson men's pants are sold by waist and length (for example 34 waist, Regular length). To check length, measure a pair of pants you already own along the inner seam from the crotch to the bottom of the hem: 30" and under is Short, 30–32" is Regular, 32" and over is Long.

If your measurements fall between sizes, choose the larger size for a looser fit or the smaller size for a snugger fit.

How do the Granite Mountain pants fit?

Cut like a straight-leg jean and sized by waist, with a 32-inch inseam. The 2% elastane gives real flex without a baggy feel. Filson's model is 6'2" and wears a 34x32.

Are they stretchy?

Lightly. The fabric is 98% cotton with 2% elastane — enough give to squat, kneel, and step up comfortably, but they still hang like cotton work pants.

Will they hold up on a job site?

The rear hems and pocket bottoms are doubled and the front pocket bags are heavy-duty, which covers the two spots 5-pocket pants usually fail. At 7 oz. they're lighter than canvas work pants, so treat them as a warm-weather option rather than a brush pant.

Do they shrink?

Wash cold and tumble-dry low and shrinkage is minimal. Skip hot water and high heat.

What's the extra belt loop for?

There's a seventh loop at the center back. It keeps the waistband from sagging when you're carrying a loaded belt or a heavy pocket.
