Family-owned since 1972

A waist-length layer for weather that cannot make up its mind. The Colchuck is cut from a 9-oz brushed-cotton double cloth with the pattern woven in rather than printed on, midweight enough to hold its shape and light enough to keep wearing into cool summer evenings. Contrasting trim picks out the placket and cuffs, hem-adjustment tabs let you set the fit, and a dropped shoulder leaves room to wear it over a shirt.

About The Brand

Filson has outfitted people who work outdoors since 1897, when C.C. Filson began kitting out prospectors headed north to the Klondike. The promise then was the same one on the label today: might as well have the best. That means oil-finish Tin Cloth and Shelter Cloth waxed canvas that turns brush, weather, and abrasion; Mackinaw wool that stays warm wet; brushed cotton flannel and moleskin cut for a full day of motion; and hardware chosen to outlast the garment. Filson builds gear to break in rather than wear out, and backs it with a lifetime guarantee. At Mountain Sports, we love Filson because it is honest, repairable, heirloom-grade kit — the jacket you hand down, not the one you replace.
