Description
This is the crank half of the Anchor Wizard system, and it is the part that changes how anchoring feels. Instead of turning around, hauling wet rope into your lap and trying not to tip, you reach down and wind. The low-profile version is the smaller sibling of the original Anchor Wizard, built in light plastic on proper bearings, and Anchor Wizard rate it to crank up to 10 lb.
The base is 5.5 by 4.25 inches, so it fits on a kayak deck without taking over, and it comes with 45 ft of 1/8 inch rope plus mounting hardware for both track mounting and permanent mounting. Anchor Wizard state it works in fresh and salt water, and the whole line is made in the USA. Note that this listing is the crank only — it does not include the anchor chute.
Perfect for
Features
- Crank it up from the seat. Wind the anchor up and down one-handed without turning around or pulling wet rope into the boat. Anchor Wizard rate the crank to 10 lb.
- Low-profile deck footprint. The base is 5.5 by 4.25 inches, so it sits on a kayak deck without getting in the way of paddling or casting.
- Two mounting options included. Ships with hardware for both gear-track mounting and permanent through-hull mounting, so it goes on whatever your kayak has.
- Fresh and salt water. Light plastic body on sealed bearings. Anchor Wizard rate it for both fresh and salt water use.
- Made in the USA. Anchor Wizard build the whole line in the USA and sell rebuild kits, so the crank is a repair item rather than a replace item.

About the brand
Anchor Wizard makes anchoring simple. Their crank-and-chute systems let you drop and retrieve an anchor from your seat, with one hand, without turning around or hauling wet rope into your lap. Everything is made in the USA and built around the same idea: the less work anchoring takes, the more you fish. At Mountain Sports, we like Anchor Wizard because it solves a real problem on the water instead of adding another gadget to the deck.

Fishing one spot properly
Anywhere you want to stop, hold and work an area without drifting off it every few minutes.
Not for: It is a kayak-scale winch. It is not built for a powerboat anchor or for heavy current. Browse kayak accessories
Adding to an existing kayak
Gear-track and permanent mounting hardware both come in the box, so it retrofits to most fishing kayaks.
Not for: This listing is the crank only. The anchor chute and the anchor itself are separate purchases. Everything else for the water
Replacing a worn crank
If your original reel is the part that failed, this is the current low-profile crank with the newer spool and bearings.
Not for: If only the spool or a bearing has gone, an Anchor Wizard rebuild kit is the cheaper fix. Browse all gear
