Description

The SwingArm Revolver is YakAttack's answer to the problem of a crowded modern fishing kayak: everything wants the same few inches of deck. It pairs an 8 inch TactaTrac rail with the LockNLoad mounting system, so a press of the trigger releases 360 degrees of rotation and a fully opened trigger lets a compatible accessory quick-connect off the mount entirely.

Loosen the side knob and the rail itself rotates a full 360 degrees on a horizontal axis, and the rail end caps carry the LockNLoad radial tooth pattern so the rail or whatever is on it indexes in exact 15 degree steps and returns to the same spot every time. It attaches to most modern gear track systems, works with every YakAttack MightyBolt accessory, and is made in the USA from UV-resistant polymers, anodized aluminum and stainless hardware under the Built for Life guarantee. The same mount is offered with a 12 inch rail if you want more or less reach.

Perfect for
Swinging gear aside
360 degrees, trigger released.
Exact repeat angles
15 degree indexing.
Salt water
Anodized and stainless.
Features
  • LockNLoad trigger. Press the trigger and the mount rotates a full 360 degrees. Open it fully and a compatible accessory quick-connects on or off without tools.
  • 15 degree indexing. The rail end caps carry the LockNLoad radial tooth pattern, so the rail and anything on it locks in exact 15 degree steps and returns to the same position every time.
  • 8" TactaTrac rail. Loosen the side knob and the rail rotates 360 degrees on its own horizontal axis, on top of the rotation the base already gives you.
  • MightyBolt compatible. Attaches to most modern gear track systems and works with the whole YakAttack MightyBolt accessory range.
  • Built for Life, made in the USA. UV-resistant polymers, anodized aluminum and stainless-steel hardware, made in the USA and backed by YakAttack's Built for Life guarantee.
Size & Fit
  • 8 in TactaTrac rail; the same mount is also sold with a 12 in rail
  • Mounts to most modern gear track systems
  • Rotates 360 degrees at the base and 360 degrees at the rail
  • Indexes in 15 degree steps, so positions repeat exactly
  • Check clearance against your seat and pedal drive before choosing a rail length

Materials
  • Rail: anodized aluminum TactaTrac.
  • Mount body: UV-resistant polymer.
  • Hardware: stainless steel.
  • Care: rinse with fresh water after salt use and work the trigger a few times while it is wet so grit does not dry inside the mechanism.

Best for

Is this right for you?

Positioning a fish finder

Get the display where you can read it, swing it aside when you are landing a fish, then index it straight back to the same angle.

Not for: The mount is the product. The fish finder, the RAM ball and the transducer arm are all separate. Browse kayak accessories

Pedal drive kayaks

Built for modern pedal-drive layouts where deck space is tight and the seat sits high. The rail moves gear out of the pedal path.

Not for: It needs a modern gear track to mount to. Older kayaks without track will need track added first. Everything else for the water

Swapping gear between boats

Quick-connect means a camera or display can move from one rigged kayak to another without unbolting anything.

Not for: Quick-connect only works with LockNLoad compatible accessories, not with every mount you already own. Browse all gear

Questions, answered

Before you buy.

Pulled from chats, emails and store visits. The things people actually ask us before they buy. Don't see yours?

Ask a question
Should I get the 8" or the 12" rail?

Both mounts are identical apart from the TactaTrac rail length. Take the 8 inch where deck space is tight or you want the display close in, and the 12 inch when you need to push a fish finder further out in front of a pedal drive or want room for more than one accessory on the rail.

What does the LockNLoad trigger actually do?

Two things. Press it and the mount is free to rotate a full 360 degrees, so you can swing gear aside and bring it back. Open it fully and it becomes a quick-connect, letting a compatible accessory come off the mount and go back on without tools.

Will it hold the angle I set?

Yes, and that is the reason for the radial tooth pattern on the rail end caps. It indexes in 15 degree increments rather than relying on friction, so the rail and anything mounted on it come back to exactly the same angle every time you reset it.

Will it fit my kayak?

It is designed to attach to most modern gear track systems and is fully compatible with YakAttack MightyBolt accessories. If your kayak has factory track in a spot you can reach from the seat, it will go on.

Is it made for salt water?

Yes. YakAttack build it in the USA from UV-resistant polymers, anodized aluminum and stainless-steel hardware, which is the combination they use everywhere they expect salt, and it carries their Built for Life guarantee. Rinse it with fresh water after salt trips.
