How to measure — Chest: measure around the widest, fullest area of your chest, an inch below your armpits, keeping the measuring tape horizontal. Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your waist, usually at the small of your back, keeping the tape horizontal. Hips: measure around the widest part of your hips, usually around the base of your hip bones. Inseam: measure from the top of your inner thigh to just below your inner ankle.

Is this a baselayer or an overshirt?

Depends on the weight. Lightweight long sleeves work as baselayers or sun shirts; heavyweight cotton or technical knits work as standalone shirts or midlayers in cooler weather.

Does it have UPF protection?

Some products do — check the spec sheet. UPF 30+ blocks ~97% of UV; UPF 50+ blocks ~98% and is rated for sustained sun exposure (long days on water or in alpine).

How does it wash?

Cotton long-sleeves: regular machine wash, tumble dry low. Technical synthetics: gentle wash, hang or tumble dry low to preserve the finish.

Is it long enough to tuck in?

Most long sleeves are cut with enough length to tuck in. The size guide has the body length.

Will it shrink?

Cotton may shrink slightly on the first wash — typical 2–3% with cool wash and low dry. Pre-shrunk cotton holds size better; the product page calls out 'pre-shrunk' if applicable.
