What is Infinion foam?

New Balance's new midsole compound, introduced on this generation. The pitch is resilience rather than raw softness - it is designed to resist the compression that makes an older shoe feel flat and finished.

How does it compare to the v14?

The midsole foam is new, and the upper has been completely redesigned with a contoured, perforated mesh. New Balance describe it as a total visual makeover as well as a new cushioning technology.

Is it a stability shoe?

No, it is neutral. There is no medial post and nothing corrective. If you want support from New Balance, the 860 is the one to look at.

What widths do you stock?

B (narrow), D (standard), 2E (wide) and 4E (extra wide). Not every colourway is stocked in every width, so check the width selector on the colour you want.

Can I use it for walking or work?

Plenty of people do. Extra soft cushioning and four widths make it a popular choice for long days standing. It is a road running outsole though, so it is not the right shoe for a slippery workplace floor.
