Most Free Fly bottoms run true to size with stretch built into the fabric, so your usual size is the right call for most people. Are the Palmera shorts swim-ready?

The Palmera Trunk is built for the sand and surf: quick-dry stretch fabric, mesh-lined pockets that drain, and a boardshort-style adjustable closure. The Palmera Hybrid Short uses the same quick-dry fabric with a PFAS-free DWR finish, styled as an everyday short that won't mind getting wet.

Do the Palmera Trunk pockets drain water?

Yes — the hand pockets are mesh-lined so they drain easily after a swim, and a secure back zipper pocket keeps cash, cards, or keys safe.

How should I wash and dry these?

Machine wash cold with like colors on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry low or hang dry. Skip bleach and fabric softener — they break down stretch fibers. Always check the sewn-in care label; some fabrics, like Free Fly's stretch canvas, do best washed inside out and hung to dry.
