Our product team worked their fabric sorcery and outfitted the interior with an indulgently soft, high-pile fleece that traps and retains heat throughout gridded channels. They finished it with a bonded, stretch-weave shell that keeps out rain and wind unlike any other fleece. Lightweight and packable, it’s an awesome go-to jacket for transitional seasons and warm enough to layer up when winter’s at its worst.

Will the Gridback fleece block wind and rain?

Yes to wind, mostly to drizzle. The bonded stretch-weave shell is wind-resistant and sheds light rain — unusual for a fleece. It isn't a waterproof shell, though, so for sustained rain pair it with a rain jacket like Free Fly's Cloudshield.

How do Free Fly layers fit?
