Description
The Huck Knife is Salomon's park board and it does not pretend otherwise. A true twin shape rides identically in both directions, which matters the moment you start landing switch, and Quad Camber puts an aggressive load outside your feet for pop while keeping the section between them mellower and more forgiving. It is a board built to be pushed against rather than ridden along.
The details are all aimed at a hard life. The edges arrive Freestyle EB tuned — 2 degrees at the nose and tail, 3 degrees between your feet — which is a detune where rails are concerned and grip where landings are. Royal Rubber pads sit in the high-pressure zones of the sidewalls to take the sting out of flat landings, and TRIAX HD glass is there for durability rather than for weight.
Perfect for
Features
- Quad Camber. Camber-dominant, with an aggressive load outside the feet for snap and a mellower, more forgiving load between them.
- True twin shape. Identical nose and tail. Rides and lands exactly the same in both directions, which is what you want the day you start riding switch.
- Freestyle EB edge tune. Two degrees of bevel at the nose and tail and three between the feet, so it slides rails without catching but still holds a landing.
- Royal Rubber pads. Soft rubber blocks set into the high-pressure zones of the ABS sidewalls, which is what takes the sting out of a flat landing.
- TRIAX HD fiberglass. A heavier, tougher glass layup chosen for board life rather than weight — built for park and street riding.
Size & Fit
Materials
- Core: Popster milled wood core with a basalt booster.
- Base: sintered with a standard stone finish.
- Sidewalls: ABS with Royal Rubber pads in the high-pressure zones.
- Laminate: TRIAX HD fiberglass with 30% bio-based resin.
- Care: wipe the base and edges dry after every day, and wax as soon as the base starts to look chalky — park riding wears a base faster than groomers do.
About the brand
From trail running to skiing, Salomon has been innovating for mountain life since 1947. Their performance-driven designs deliver precision and confidence wherever the adventure leads. At Mountain Sports, we love Salomon because it’s built for those who play hard in the outdoors — all year long.

Is this right for you?
Park laps
Jumps, boxes and rails. The true twin shape, the medium flex and the Freestyle edge tune are all there for exactly this.
Not for: Not a powder board. A true twin with no setback sinks at the nose in deep snow. Want float too? Browse all snowboards
Learning to ride switch
Identical in both directions, so nothing about the board changes when you turn around. That removes one variable while you learn.
Not for: Camber-dominant means it catches an edge more readily than a flat board. Not a first-season purchase. Boots to go with it
Riders hard on gear
TRIAX HD glass and rubber-damped sidewalls are a durability choice, not a weight one. This is a board built to survive a season of rails.
Not for: That toughness costs weight. If you want the lightest board on the hill, this is not it. Everything else for the hill
