Brooks' most protective Ghost — a tall stack of soft DNA LOFT v3 and a GlideRoll rocker that does the work on easy miles and long days.

Features
  • Nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 cushioning
  • GlideRoll Rocker for smooth transitions
  • 40 mm max-cushion stack
  • Broad, stable base
  • Breathable engineered air-mesh upper
  • Roomy fit that accommodates orthotics
  • Over 50% recycled materials in the upper
Materials & Care

Upper: breathable engineered air mesh. Midsole: nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3. Outsole: rubber. Care: remove the insoles and laces, hand wash with mild soap and cool water, then air dry away from direct heat.

Size & Fit
  • Men's US 7–13 in half sizes, plus 14 and 15, in three widths: D (regular), 2E (wide) and 4E (extra wide).
  • Take your usual running-shoe size. The Ghost Max runs roomy by design — there is real volume through the midfoot and toe box, which is the point rather than a fit flaw.
  • Using a custom orthotic? Pull the stock insole out first. There is enough depth here to take an insert without losing toe room, which is not true of most max-cushion shoes.
  • Between widths? The broad base means the D already feels wider underfoot than a typical neutral trainer — try it before assuming you need the 2E.
  • Not every colourway is stocked in all three widths. Check the width selector on the colour you want.
  • Neutral support only. The broad base adds steadiness, but there is no posting or guidance structure.

About The Brand

Brooks has been singularly focused on the run since 1914, channeling more than a century of biomechanics research into shoes built to keep you moving. From nitrogen-infused DNA cushioning underfoot to the trail-ready Cascadia and road-smooth Ghost franchises, every pair is engineered around how real runners actually move. At Mountain Sports, we love Brooks because they do one thing exceptionally well — dependable, well-cushioned shoes that turn everyday miles into something you look forward to.
