The Am'D is a wide-opening locking carabiner with a D-shape that makes it stronger than an oval carabiner. The screwgate features the Red Alert safety indicator which alerts the operator with a visible red stripe when the lock is not completely engaged, and the Keylock system to prevent snagging on ropes and anchors.
